date night didn't happen this week. the painters arrived promptly at 6am this morning to begin painting our upstairs. we had to move everything to the center of each room, our beds quickly filled up with picture frames, lamps and odds and ends. we got the girls bed cleared off, but as for us- we're currently setting up for bed on our downstairs couch. so in lieu of a real date night post, here are a couple inspiration boards for a valentine's date night. i picked out two items high on my list to wear- boyfriend jeans and a full floral skirt...but without knowing our plans, i wasn't sure how dressed up, or casual to go. i've laid out a few options for whichever way your night goes. i purchased the ted baker floral skirt for a formal night on our upcoming cruise, and i'm in love! i wore it for my ksl valentine's segment and have been scheming what to wear with it next. i love the idea of dressing it down with chambray and flats. as for boyfriend jeans, i've been noticing a total trend with my pins lately. i love the look of a casual slim fit denim paired with heels and a funky top, and then switched up with a graphic tee, leather jacket and flats. i'm all about an item that can go from daytime errands and all things little girls to a date night with matthew...all while being comfortable!
hopefully this gives you some inspiration for a couple easy looks to throw together!
