Halloween Treats

My favorite holiday just might be Halloween.
I was known to insist on two...or three costumes each year and always had them planned in advance.  The girls have grabbed on to my excitement, the last week has been filled with preparations and plans for tomorrow.

I am always sad to miss out on all the trick or treaters who come to our door while we are out knocking.  Last year, Gracie and I decided we'd take treats around to her friends earlier in the day so we could check out costumes before everyone headed out for the night.  My Mom's white chocolate and m&m popcorn is one of our favorite treats and perfect to package up and take around.  The best part is it's super easy and doesn't require a ton of ingredients!

White Chocolate and m&m Popcorn

What you'll need:
5 bags popped microwave popcorn
2 16 ounce bags of white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large bag m&m's

Pop your bags of popcorn (set them aside in the bags so they stay warm)
Combine both bags of white chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Microwave at 1 minute intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted
(it takes me about 2 1/2 minutes)
Pour popcorn into a large brown grocery bag
Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and shake the bag.
Once the chocolate is evenly dispersed dump in your m&m's and shake some more.
Lay out the popcorn on wax paper and let dry.
After it dries, keep it in a sealed container to keep it fresh.

Hope you enjoy this sweet treat as much as we do!
Happy Halloween!
